Salto de Jimenoa at Jarabacoa






El Salto de Jimenoa (Jimenoa waterfall) is the main attraction of the town of Jarabacoa in the Dominican Republic, so the weekend is visited by hundreds of people who love ecotourism, including people who love domestic tourism and international tourists. 


El Salto de Jimenoa is located five kilometers before reaching the entrance of Jarabacoa, there is no regular access to it, so travelers should use a motor vehicle (motorcycle taxi concho, etc.). 

 Jimenoa One is a cascade of 60 meters high with a nice natural pool, and Jimenoa two, has a fall of 40 meters, the drop is possible an eco-trail built and run by the community, who proposes a sustainable tourism project in the area.


This marvel of ecotourism Dominican has a jump of 40 meters high, where the water seems to be falling foam.


To access to Jimenoa visitors have to pay a small sum of money which is used for maintenance of suspension bridges that provide access to such a beautiful place, there are places where people can not swim because of the danger it can present for swimmers . 

Although it is difficult to get to this natural beauty  but it is a place worth visiting for its beautiful waters.

Albatros Club Resort at Juan Dolio

Expedia.com says RD is a destination growing in popularity


Expedia.com ®, the largest online travel agency in the world, said the Dominican Republic is an increasingly popular destination for American tourists, up 30%, making this country the second most visited destination throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
