Hilton Worldwide will open hotel in Silversun Plaza




  Hilton Worldwide announced the operation of an Embassy Suites by Hilton 200 suites on Silversun shopping center, a shopping center in final stages of construction in the center of the capital. 


  The Embassy Suites Santo Domingo will be the third hotel of the firm in the Dominican Republic, as there is            an Embassy Suites by Hilton in Metro Country Club in Juan Dolio, with 125 rooms, and the Hilton Santo Domingo with 228 rooms. 


The new hotel will open in the second quarter of 2013, on  Tiradentes Avenue, Naco sector in the central part of Santo Domingo.


The 200 suites will have a living room, a bedroom, bathroom, area equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, two flat screen TVs and high definition. 


It will offer a fitness center and business center.  You will also be more than 16,000 square feet of enclosed space for meetings, including two ballrooms, lounge and 4.300 square feet of space for outdoor events. 


Silversun shopping center is a three-level mall of shops, five cinemas, food court, playground of entertainment and five levels of underground parking. "We are pleased to announce the development of our third Hilton hotel in the Dominican Republic, and proud to do it with RDC Development, SA," said Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide. The executive said the hotel was established in the business district of the Dominican capital for the growth trend in the area.

Disco Gold, the 'Jewel of the Caribbean' in Punta Cana




Inspired by the metal which takes its name, this nightclub came to life through architectural and interior design by François Frossard, who endowed it with the intimacy of a lounge and own infused contemporary of the great international clubs.

Although Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana are not experts in alchemyor anything else like it-the architecture and interior design of its newest nightclub, locally and internationally known as the 'new jewel of the Caribbean', was a alluding to the precious metal alloy which gives its name to the club: gold.


The genesis of this building dates back to when the Moon Palace Resorts decided to work with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, opening a nightclub in the latter premium similar to Las Vegas, New York or Miami. 

For a project of this size immediately thought that the company MMG Nightlife, recognized for its success in American clubs LIV, Arkadia and LIV at Sun Life Stadium, was the best ally for its operational management and customer service.

The 14,000 square foot Nightclub Gold are distributed on two levels and feature a mezzanine, a DJ Booth, a total of 37 VIP tables and three bars. 

In just one year, this infrastructure was equipped with the-world-award winning sound system 'Funktion One' and an intelligent moving head lights of 171was also provided with a hugewall of LED screens composed of 300 and a kryogenifex cooling system (which cools the room in seven seconds).

While it is true that this club opened  recently, so is thatworld-renowned personalities have already visited, and comparingfrom big international clubs and distinguishing it as a  'worth gold'. (source)

Hilton Hotel opens its parking building



Santo Domingo Hilton Hotel executives offered a meeting to inaugurate the modern parking building consisting of five floors and has a modern infrastructure located in the northern section of the hotel with direct access from Independence Avenue.


Hector Concari, general manager, said: "This new building will strengthen our market leadership, complementing existing services".



The new architectural entity has a capacity for 400 vehicles, loading and unloading area for equipment assembly events, also has asecurity system last generation.

Along the Caribbean coast, Hilton Hotel rises 21 stories above its capitalcity, just 30 minutes from Las Americas International AirportThe hotel has 228 rooms with sea view, including Executive Floor rooms and suites.

IX Announce National Journalism Award Tourist PEL2012


The journalism dedicated to tourism in the sea and its resources will be included in the ninth edition of the award Epifanio Lantigua, organized by the Dominican Association of Tourist Press(Adompretur) and Occidental Hotels & Resorts chain, with support from the Ministry of Tourism and Juan Luis Guerra Foundation.

The information was provided by Osvaldo Soriano, president of Adompretur during the convening of the new edition of the National Press Award Tourist Epifanio Lantigua, to be held on September 19, where will also recognized the best work done in support of tourismin press written, digital, television, photography and sustainable tourism.
The Award recognizes the best work, number of jobs or coverage, in any genre of journalism, on tourism in the Dominican Republic carried on television, print and digital media, as well as best documentary, best picture or series of photographs, and sustainable tourism.

For this year agreed to replace the radial line of work dedicated tomarine tourism, an activity that takes place in harmony with the environment, which includes diving, whale watching, raid on the reefs,beaches and sea routes .
The Epifanio Lantigua is the prize of its kind with more participants and papers presented at the recent history of Dominican journalism.In the 2010 edition the jury evaluated 257 jobs and in 2011 the figure rose to 345 proposals and 62 comuninicadores participants.The representatives of Occidental Hotels & Resorts and  Adompretur reiterated the commitment of the award, continuing their support of the Fundación Juan Luis Guerra, which will receive part of the proceeds to devote to social activities.
