Amber Dune Hotel (Cabarete Hotels)

Amber is Dune, a tourism project of condo-hotel properties with 204 units, three restaurants, tapas bar, beach club, gourmet coffee shop and a private chef's kitchen.

Amber Dune is a first-of-its-kind resort + spa on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, a vibrant location that draws ever increasing numbers of adventure travelers every year.

The Amber Coast, another name for the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, comes from the rich deposits of semi-precious amber (the second most valuable deposit in the world) buried below its surface.

Amber Dune Resort + Spa has been personally designed by Lane Pettigrew, founder of LPA Architects. Lane’s firm has designed some of the most successful small luxury hotels in the Caribbean.

Not only are his projects commercial successes they are also recognized by such influential travel and tourist authorities as Conde Nast and Johansan, whose “best in class Caribbean” award Lane won in 2010.

A very important feature of Lane’s design is the ability to provide 343 rental units from the 203 condominiums. This is accomplished through “lock-out” designs. This feature assures the owner the maximum opportunity to rent some or all of his condominium.

Amber Dune Resort + Spa is located on the beach, close enough to Cabarete to provide easy access to the delights of the local community yet removed enough to ensure privacy and tranquility.

The boutiques at Amber Dune are truly unique. The resort has edited a selection of brands from around the world that are specifically appropriate to the Amber Dune adventure. You will find jewelry, apparel and even sporting goods that will add to your enjoyment of the North Coast.

The Amber Spa is a unique element of the Amber Dune experience. The Amber Spa is designed to bring our nature into harmony with nature. Distinctions between indoor and outdoor are wiped away. The fragrances and textures transport the all the senses to a world away, yet all at your immediate touch.

Whether you choose a 3-bedroom or studio, your Amber Dune condominium displays simple elegance and provides a tasteful balance between privacy and openness. Ceilings are high; windows are large; views are endless. Some enjoy showers with an ocean view. The complete entertainment system, casual seating arrangements and a large terrace with a jacuzzi and private pool provide more than enough choices for family and friends.

Your condominium has spacious walk-in closets and a king size bed in the master bedroom.

All bedrooms have flat panel TV. The master bath has both a soaking tub and a walk-in shower. The "instant kitchen" includes a microwave, a refrigerator and an espresso machine. There is plenty of storage in the unit (and extra storage is available in the hotel.)

All appliances and fixtures are premium brands; all finishes are of the highest quality materials and trimmed by craftsmen. Communication is easy with phones in all frequently used rooms and wireless and cellular service throughout the property. (source)
